AhlulBayt News Agency: Hans Grundberg, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, has welcomed the reopening of Al-Dhalea Road, a major route linking key areas between Aden and Sana’a.

In a statement on Sunday, he highlighted the significance of the road’s reopening, noting that it had remained closed since 2018 due to ongoing conflict.

Grundberg emphasized that reopening the road provides much-needed relief, reducing travel time for many Yemenis and improving the movement of people and goods across the country. He further stressed that this achievement demonstrates the potential of dialogue and compromise.

The UN envoy praised the constructive role of local actors in facilitating this important milestone and urged all parties to continue efforts to reopen additional roads. He called on them to prioritize the needs of Yemeni civilians and build on this progress to enhance nationwide connectivity.
